We welcome the Maasvliet to our fleet!
Hudig & Veder proudly introduces the Maasvliet, a 90.6-meter-long, 13.2-meter-wide vessel designed to support offshore cable recovery operations with efficiency and precision. Chartered by Subsea, the vessel will play a key role in vital subsea cable projects in the coming years.

Equipped with advanced cable management systems, the Maasvliet features dedicated cable tanks in the cargo hold for the safe collection and storage of retrieved cables. A spacious working deck and specialized handling equipmentfurther enhance its operational capabilities, ensuring smooth and efficient offshore performance, even in challenging conditions.
Sustainability at its core
In line with our commitment to sustainability, the Maasvliet is powered by a diesel-electric drivetrain, allowing it to run on sustainable fuels now and in the future. With two 374 bkW electro motors and a total installed power of 749 kW, its frequency-controlled powertrain optimizes performance based on load factor, water levels, and navigation routes. This results in fuel savings of up to 35% and significantly reduced emissions.
Christening
On the 4th of February we proudly celebrated the christening of the Maasvliet! Surroundedby partners, colleagues, and maritime professionals, we officially welcomed this cable recovery vessel into our fleet. The ceremony was a moment of pride and appreciation for everyone involved in bringing this project to life.
The Maasvliet marks another milestone for Hudig & Veder in delivering innovative and sustainable maritime solutions. We extend our gratitude to Hartel Shipping & Chartering and Holland Shipyards Group for their partnership in this project and look forward to seeing the Maasvliet in action, supporting Subsea in its critical offshore operations.
