Ovet Shipping B.V., established in 1971, is a joint venture between stevedoring company Ovet B.V. and shipping agent / logistic service provider Bulk Maritime Agencies Rotterdam (BMA).
The main activity of Ovet Shipping, with offices located in Terneuzen and Flushing (Vlissingen), is providing shipping agency services in the Western Scheldt area. Mainly dry-bulk related tramp-agencies and chemicals/liquefied gas tankers but also husbandry- and offshore related owners agencies.
Next to the services as shipping agent, Ovet Shipping is an experienced logistic service provider: freight forwarding, coastal- and deepsea chartering, barging, trucking, storage and warehousing and customs agency represent an important part of the provided services.
It is still possible to book containers to the Caribbean, but Ovet Shipping can arrange shipment of project cargo and containers to every destination in the world. Even more, through her network, Ovet Shipping can arrange transportation of whichever cargo required by the customer (may it be containers, project cargo or even bulk cargo), from door to door, including trucking, the chartering of vessels or booking slots at container- or ro-ro (roll on/roll off) vessels and custom formalities. Even transportation by train is no problem.
With the build of serveral windfarms in the vicinity of Vlissingen (Flushing), including windfarm Borssele I to V, Ovet Shipping is ideally located for providing offshore wind related services in the southern North Sea. This can be for the actual build but also for the operations and maintenance fase.
Through the extensive network of Peterson we can also offer integrated logistics and maintenance support for offshore wind assets from strategic locations around the North Sea and Baltic Sea.
