A one-stop shop for logistics solutions. This is what Jasper Brocades Zaalberg, Director of Hudig & Veder Forwarding calls 'his' Hudig & Veder, a company specialized in worldwide transport and storage of various types of cargoes such as bulk, breakbulk and project logistics. Hudig & Veder was founded in 1795 and has grown into the logistics giant it now is. Brocades continues: “Every day about a hundred people are hard at work at our different divisions, Chartering, Bulk, Forwarding and Agencies. Our office is centrally located near the port of Rotterdam, but supported by global partners and through joint ventures in the Middle East and Europe, we can offer our services on a global scale. ABC-concept
Our ABC-concept consists of optimal cooperation and
short communication lines between our divisions. And therefore, at the drop of a hat, we can offer complete and full services and provide custom-made logistical plans.
Our bulk division has their own warehouse in the Laurens harbour in Rotterdam, but in collaborations with our partners, we are also able to offer terminal and storage services for incoming and outgoing cargo flows for break-bulk and project cargo. This includes:
- customs formalities and transfer via all modes of transport,
- loading and unloading of barges and seagoing vessels,
- trans-shipment,
- loading of containers and special equipment
Add to that the connection with our own break bulk carriers that sail on the Black and Caspian Seas, and thus we have a perfect example of how our ABC-concept works.
