As partner of the Dutch-based Hudig & Veder Group, Hartel Shipping & Chartering, has awarded Holland Shipyards Group for the delivery of five newbuild coasters of 3.800 DWT.

The new vessels, designed by Conoship, measure 89,42 m by 13,20 m and will have a cargo hold capacity of 5.530 m³ and a tween deck to allow for increased project cargo capacity.

Hudig & Veder can safely be described as a one-stop-shop for logistics solutions. The company specializes in the worldwide transport and storage of various types of cargoes such as (dry) bulk, break-bulk and project logistics. He was triggered by the atmosphere within the company, says Schep, who is the first non-family member, in a long time, now to set the course of Hudig & Veder. The glorious history of Hudig & Veder, for which Jan Hudig and his brother-in-law Cornelis Gebrand Blokhuyzen laid the foundation in Rotterdam, will not be forgotten. But the company, which has grown into a strong partner in international logistics, will continue to grow into the sector in which it has been a resounding name for many years, promises Derk Schep.
